he needed to clean his room first. That’s it. One simple rule. Instead, he completely lost it. He started yelling, throwing trash out of his room into the hallway, and even punching holes in the wall.
I get that the divorce has been rough on him, but this isn’t how you deal with anger. He hates that I have custody and that I actually give him rules, routines, and structure. Meanwhile, his mom lets him do whatever he wants, so I’m always the bad guy in his eyes.
I’ve tried everything. Conversations, consequences, even therapy. Nothing is helping. His anger is out of control, and I honestly don’t know what to do anymore.
