I came in expecting a normal meal and instead I’ve got staff walking around in outfits that look like they’re about to start a fitness class. It completely throws off the whole environment when you’re just trying to have dinner and this is what’s going on around you.
I’m sitting there with my family and instead of focusing on the food, I’m distracted by how out of place it all feels. There’s a difference between casual and just not matching the setting at all, and this crossed that line. When you’re working in a place where people bring their kids and sit down to eat, there should be at least some effort to look like you’re actually on the job.
It’s not about expecting anything fancy, it’s about basic professionalism. When the staff looks like they’re dressed for something completely unrelated to the job, it makes the whole place feel less put together. It’s hard to take the experience seriously when it feels like there are no standards being followed.
And that’s the bigger issue, it sets the tone for everything else. If something as simple as appearance doesn’t matter, it makes you wonder what else doesn’t either. People are paying to be there, and the least a place can do is make it feel like an actual restaurant instead of something thrown together with no consistency at all.
